Golf Grips: How important is it to be fitted to the correct size grip? How often should you need to change your grips? What difference will it make to my golf game by purchasing new golf grips?

One off the most overlooked aspects off the golf club technology is the golf grips. Most amateur golfers are at a disadvantage due to playing with poorly worn grips, overused and difficult to maintain a soft feel.

  1. You will tighten up your grip pressure to hold onto the grip thus not been able to control the clubface resulting in wayward shots.
  2. The club is more likely to roll around in your hand creating inconsistent timing and ball striking.
  3. If you wear a glove you will wear it out faster as the grip will be moving too much in your golf swing instead of staying in a neutral position.

  1. If the average club golfer plays one round of golf every week you should change your grips annually. (Basically 50 rounds of golf)
  2. If you’re a golfer who practices 1-2 time a week and also plays golf regularly then you should change your grips every 6-9 months

  1. Having a good connection when gripping a golf club will definitely help build a more successful golf swing.
  2. Help maintain a soft feel and pressure on the grip giving you better control and more consistent swing and ball striking.
  3. New grips will give you more confidence by freeing up your swing and allowing you to take control throughout all aspects of the game.

I have many different golf grips that are tailored to fit all types of golfers.
